Oui Oui High Tea Review

Located on the ground level of Hotel X, Bisou Bisou — French for “kiss kiss” — is an elegant brasserie that channels the nostalgic charm of a Parisian dining room. Their afternoon tea, Oui Oui, leans confidently into French brasserie classics, offering a good balance of savoury and sweet that feels indulgent yet approachable.
The menu moves effortlessly from soft brioche rolls filled with chicken and tarragon mustard mayonnaise, and red pepper; chive tomato and goat’s cheese finger sandwiches, to a not so mini croque monsieur with shaved ham and gruyère. This was better suited to Mr K as it took more than a couple of bites to finish.
There was also a frittata Lorraine that to be honest was probably the least exciting of the savouries. There was a little too much egg in the mixture so the texture wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been. Not to worry, the standout was the buttery brie and fig jam vol au vents finished with fresh honeycomb. I’d eat a trayful if presented with them at a party. What a delight!
The smoked salmon rillettes on cucumber reminded me of summer days and were a perfect palate cleanser before moving on to the freshly baked scones served with whipped Chantilly cream and strawberry jam. Warm and fluffy, they got me excited about the tier of sweet treats to come.

Light as a feather profiteroles filled with vanilla pastry cream, raspberry and lemon macarons plus fresh grapes provided the perfect finish.
Relax and indulge
The pacing of Oui Oui High Tea is thoughtful and unhurried, allowing you to genuinely enjoy each course without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Presentation is playful yet polished, with tiered stands arriving alongside teapots filled with your choice of tea-inspired cocktails or mocktails. Poured into little demitasse teacups for a whimsical twist, it’s a clever detail that celebrates the joy of afternoon tea without being stuffy or overdone.
Run or return?
